Goal!

with 4 comments

Heard from Sayanthan that the movie 'Goal!' is a very nice movie and so I decided to see that movie (I usually don't miss any good movies). I downloaded it right away and saw it today.

The movie has a really strong story and outstanding picturisation of football. I'm not a great fan of football, but still I like to watch it. Its all about a young boy named Santiago Munez who is a talented football player, supporting his family by doing menial jobs following his father's path. His talent is not discovered until a British Scout gets admired seeing his talent in football. He also offers Santiago a chance to play with England's premier soccer club, Newcastle United, but even then Munez faces a lot of problems. And after facing many problems he destines himself to play football, in which he succeeds.

The movie is really inspiring and I'm sure this movie would be loved by all and not necessary that only football fans would like it.

For those who liked this movie, the good news is that 2 more sequels are in production, Goal! 2: Living the dream and Goal! 3.

Goal! 2: After gaining experience with the football club Newcastle United, Santiago Munez (Becker) gets a huge break when he's transferred to Real Madrid. Goal! 2 is scheduled to be released this year. Not much information is available for goal! 3, and it is scheduled to be released next year.
